Pizza



Pizza


Pizza Dough with Store-Bought Yeast
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 cup minus 1 T olive oil
Method
  1. Mix the all ingredients in a bowl until is smooth and well mixed. Put aside and let rest for 15 minutes.
  2. Flour a work surface and you hands. Have a bowl with flour on the side too. Put the dough on the surface and knead until dough comes together in a smooth mass. Divide the dough into 2 pieces. Shape into balls, wrap tightly and refrigerate for up to 6-8 hours. This process is called proofing, which allows for fermentation to occur.
  3. Remove the dough from the refrigerator. Press it down using your fingertips. Next, slap out the dough by tossing it from hand to hand. Press your fingers out together, turning your hands into paddles. Toss until the dough is a 12″. Place dough back on a floured surface. Dough is ready for toppings.
Sausage Pizza
Ingredients
  1. San Marzano tomatoes blended until smooth
  2. Spicy Italian Sausage
  3. Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
  4. Sliced Raw White Onion
  5. Parmesan Block of Cheese
Method
  1. Spread San Marzano sauce evenly around pizza dough.
  2. Lay white onion down on top of sauce.
  3. Spread cheese all around the top
  4. Make balls of sausage and place them evenly around the pizza.
  5. Using a floured pizza paddle place pizza on paddle. Place pizza in a 415*F oven on top of a sheet stray, pizza stone, or wide cast iron flat pan.
  6. Cook pizza until crust is golden brown. The cheese should also be slightly golden brown on top. Place pizza on a cutting board. Grate fresh parmesan over pizza. Cut pizza into 8 pieces, eat, and enjoy.
Caramelized Cabbage and Arugula Pizza with Sausage
Ingredients
  1. Caramelized Cabbage Puree
  2. Arugula
  3. Sausage
  4. Shredded Mozzarella
  5. Parmesan Block of Cheese
Method
  1. Spread cabbage puree evenly over pizza.
  2. Spread good amount of arugula over pizza and top with mozzarella.
  3. Make balls of sausage and place them evenly around the pizza.
  4. Using a floured pizza paddle place pizza on paddle. Place pizza in a 415*F oven on top of a sheet stray, pizza stone, or wide cast iron flat pan.
  5. Cook pizza until crust is golden brown. The cheese should also be slightly golden brown on top. Place pizza on a cutting board. Grate fresh parmesan over pizza. Cut pizza into 8 pieces.
